Boys Volleyball Looking Towards Playoffs
If the boys win two of their next three games, it should secure them a spot.

If the varsity boys volleyball team wins two of their next three games, Coach Mike Weiner said it should secure them a spot in the playoffs.
Weiner, who's been at the helm since 2010 after taking over for Phil Opinante, said it would be the team's second appearance in four years.
The boys are currently 8-7 this season.
Weiner has always wanted his team to "learn, grow and advance every point, every game and every match." He said that last year, with this season in mind.
"We have a two-year goal – to learn, grow and build a strong foundation so we can finish this season with all the knowledge we possibly can. So next year we are one step ahead and can make a strong push for the playoffs," he said last October.
The team only graduated one player from last years' team and have a mix of starting players in their sophomore, junior and senior years.
The next home game is Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Garden City High School when Garden City faces W. Tresper Clarke High School.
