Brooklyn Man Arrested for Larceny at Roosevelt Field

Michael Clennon, 32, used fraudulent credit card for purchase, tried to flee from police.

The Major Case Bureau reported the arrest of Michael Clennon, 32, of Brooklyn for grand larceny at the Roosevelt Field Mall on Nov. 17 at 8:15 pm.

According to Crimes Against Property Bureau detectives, Third Precinct police officers were alerted that the defendant, Clennon, of 672 46th Street, Apt. 3D, was inside Tourneau Watches, located at 630 Old Country Road in Garden City, and purchased merchandise using a fraudulent credit card. When the police arrived, the defendant fled the scene on foot. Third Precinct officers were able to place Clennon into police custody after a brief chase that ended with a struggle. The officers suffered minor lacerations and were treated at the scene. The defendant refused all medical attention. Upon investigation the defendant was found to be in possession of additional fraudulent credit cards.

Clennon is charged with two counts grand larceny third degree, five counts of possession of forged instruments second degree, two counts of identity theft first degree, resisting arrest. He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead Nov. 18.
