Cops Seek Man Who Attempted to Rob North New Hyde Park Bank
Police release surveillance photos Wednesday.
Nassau Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating a man they say attempted to rob a bank in North New Hyde Park.
Police say that on Feb. 17 at about 6 p.m., the man entered the Chase Bank at 350 Hillside Avenue and presented a demand note to a teller and also verbally demanded money. The man then fled on foot without any money.

He is described as 40 years old, five-foot-eight, and of medium build. He was unshaven, and wearing a blue-knit hat, round sunglasses, a red and black flannel jacket gray hooded sweatshirt, tan shirt, light colored knit gloves, blue jeans and dark colored shoes.

Crime Stoppers is asking anyone who has information about the identity or whereabouts of the suspect to call its toll-free hotline: 1-800-244-TIPS (8477).
