EAST GARDEN CITY, NY — Two Queens men were arrested on Jan. 6 after Nassau County police say they tried to flee a traffic stop and crashed their car.

According to police, around 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 6, police saw a black 2017 Mercedes make a turn from Zeckendorf Boulevard onto Ring Road without signaling. The passenger — Kevin Dobson, 24, of 253rd Street — fled the scene on foot, and officers gave chase, police said. During the chase, police say Dobson dropped a black handgun onto the ground. He was arrested soon after.
