Earth Day Spring Clothing Drive To Repurpose, Recycle Items

Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities and Jovia are partnering for the April 22 event.

WESTBURY, NY — To mark Earth Day, Jovia's Westbury headquarters will host a Spring Clothing Drive.

The event is also organized by RewearAble, a business initiative of Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities (ACLD).

RewearAble is a clothing recycling business created by ACLD, committed to helping people with developmental disabilities.

In the spirit of Earth Day, employees from both organizations will work together to collect donated items from the community that can then be recycled and repurposed.

Donations can include clothing of any condition or size, shoes, handbags, belts, baseball caps, coats, hats, scarves, gloves, tablecloths (cloth only), napkins (cloth only), placemats (cloth only), bedding and towels.

The collection drive is on Tuesday, April 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Jovia parking lot (1000 Corporate Drive, Westbury).
