On Wednesday, Aug. 21, the Garden City Retired Men’s Club will honor village resident Ed Palkot and host a 100th year birthday party at Pompei Restaurant, 401 Hempstead Avenue in West Hempstead, from noon to 5 p.m.
The luncheon includes unlimited wine and soda (cash bar available), assorted hot hors d'oeuvres, salad, pasta (penne ala vodka), choice of entree, coffee or tea and a Happy Birthday cake.
A live band or DJ will provide music.
The cost is $45 per person. Old friends, male or female, are invited to the gala celebration.
