HUNTINGTON, NY — Phil Rosenthal, a Hofstra graduate who co-created the sitcom "Everybody Loves Raymond," is returning to Long Island this month to discuss his new book and his ongoing TV show.

Rosenthal is now the host of the Netflix show "Somebody Feed Phil," in which he travels around the country trying new foods. He will be bringing a live version of the show to the Paramount in Huntington on Nov. 13.

In an interview with Newsday, Rosenthal said his time at Hofstra affected "Everybody Loves Raymond." The main character, Ray Ramano, was a sports writer for Newsday, which Rosenthal said was inspired by reading the paper while he was studying at Hofstra.
