Fire Closes 76-Year-Old Long Island Restaurant
Thomas's Ham 'n' Eggery is closed while repairs are made following the fire over the weekend.
CARLE PLACE, NY — The ham and eggs are on hold for a while. An electrical fire has caused Thomas's Ham 'n' Eggery to close.
According to Newsday, an electrical fire started in the decades-old restaurant Saturday morning. It was quickly put out and didn't cause much structural damage, but the owners have to assess the building and have the problem repaired.
The restaurant, located on Old Country Road, has been open for 76 years. It is closed until further notice.
