Garden City Boys Playing for District Title Monday

After losing a close match to Franklin Square Friday, it's all or nothing for Garden City's District 29 baseball squad as they face the same team Monday night at the Floral Park Recreation Center for the title.

First pitch is at 6 p.m.

The boys opened the 2013 U11 District 29 Little League baseball tournament June 26 with a 7-5 extra inning victory over Franklin Square and then followed that win with 13-4 victory over New Hyde Park.

Members of this year's team are: Jackson Bautch, Stephen Baymack, Jason Brown, Luke Caporicci, Jake Fraher, Joseph Griffin, Andrew Luglio, Joseph Macchiarola, Jeffrey Papazian, Michael Rasquin, Shane Ross, T.J. Schmitt and Garrett Zander.
