Garden City PD Increasing DWI Enforcement For Labor Day Weekend
The village police will have increased patrols over the weekend to make sure people are not driving under the influence.
GARDEN CITY, NY — The Garden City Police Department will be increasing impaired and drunken driving patrols over the Labor Day weekend, as part of the National Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over mobilization.
“We understand everyone wants to enjoy the holiday weekend,” said Garden City Police Commissioner Kenneth Jackson, “but we want them to do it responsibly. Beyond risking personal freedom and safety, driving impaired puts lives in danger. Our commitment to every resident and visitor of this village means we are increasing patrols during the holiday period to help ensure the summer does not end with death or injury."
During the enforcement period, Garden City police will have additional patrols on roads, and will be strictly enforcing DWI laws.
