Nassau Shop Sold Flavored Vapes; Man Arrested: Police

Officers seized an assortment of flavored vape products packaged for purchase, police say.

GARDEN CITY SOUTH, NY — A man was arrested in connection with selling flavored vape products at a shop in Garden City South on Tuesday, Nassau police said.

Officers assigned to the POP Unit investigated the sale of flavored vape products at Grand Kratom Smoke Shop, at 34 Nassau Boulevard, around 5:45 p.m., police said. Officers observed several flavored vape products displayed for sale, police said. An assortment of flavored vape products packaged for purchase were recovered, police said.

The store manager, Muhammad Mazhar, 27, of Jamaica, Queens, was charged with a violation for sale of age restricted products and sale of flavored products prohibited, police said.

He was issued a desk appearance ticket returnable to First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead,
on May 29.
