Gun Pointed During Road Rage at Roosevelt Field Mall: Police

EAST GARDEN CITY, NY — A road rage incident in the Roosevelt Field parking lot on Friday led to Bronx man pointing a gun at two people, police said.

Winston Merrick. 45, of the Bronx, who was driving a black Honda Pilot, was enraged with a 17-year-old male and a 41-year-old woman, police said.

After a thorough investigation, officers located the defendant Merrick, and placed him under arrest without incident.

No injuries were reported.

A black loaded Glock 26 firearm was recovered, authorities said.

Merrick is charged with two counts of second-degree menacing and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

He was expected to be arraigned on Saturday.
