Hannon Salutes 'Best in Town' Photography Award Winners

Contest intended to capture the spirit of the sixth senatorial district and surrounding areas via photography.

Sen. Kemp Hannon saluted 19 local high school photographers during his second annual “Best In Town” photography contest awards ceremony earlier this month.

The event showcased each student's creative skills. Winners received a photograph and full size poster of their winning photograph. A booklet was also made available to all those in attendance featuring each of the artists’ work. The ceremony concluded with the awarding of two runner up and one “Best in Show” awards.

High school students throughout Hannon’s sixth senatorial district were invited to participate in the contest, which sought to capture the "spirit of the district and surrounding areas via photography." Students submitted one photograph from each of the following four categories: People, Places, Animals and Nature.
