Holiday Toy, Clothing Drive Helps Less Fortunate Children

GARDEN CITY SOUTH, NY —The community came together to help families who can't afford presents for their loved ones.

The Community League of Garden City South on Monday delivered an SUV full of toys, clothes, hats and gloves for children from the area.

Items were brought to the Washington Street School for distribution at the three elementary within the district this holiday season.

"[We're] praying not one child is deprived of Christmas spirit," the Community League said on Facebook.
