Homecoming Parade, Chamber Festival Street Closures
GCPD advises motorists, residents to make arrangements to avoid the affected areas.

Seventh Street, between Franklin and Hilton avenues, will be closed from approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the Garden City Chamber of Commerce's 34th annual Fall Festival Street Fair.
The fair will be held between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and will offer plenty of activities for the kids, including the return of the popular money cube and two trackless kiddy trains.
The “Huddle Shuttle” Super Bowl exhibit will be situated in the eastern section of Parking Field 7N, on the north side of Seventh Street, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The replica stadium locker room will have Jets, Giants, Super Bowl and Vince Lombardi memorabilia, as well as the Vince Lombardi Trophy, on display. Residents can also test their football skills on a 100 foot by 80 foot area complete with a turf field and make the call at a referee simulation station.
Garden City High School's Homecoming parade steps off promptly at 1 p.m. and will proceed west from Parking Field 6E along Seventh Street to Cathedral Avenue, north on Cathedral Avenue to Stewart Avenue, west on Stewart Avenue to Oxford Boulevard, north on Oxford Boulevard to the Garden City High School Parking Field.

There will be additional street closures along the parade route. The Garden City Police Department advises motorists and residents to make arrangements between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. to avoid the area affected by the parade.
The Trojans will take on South Side at 3 p.m. The half-time show will feature the high school’s award-winning marching band, kickline and cheerleaders.
