LI Cares To Donate More Than Ton Of Food For Thanksgiving Meals

Bethany Food Pantry in Westbury will receive $6,600 in food items.

WESTBURY, NY — Many Long Islanders can not afford to make a Thanksgiving feast this year. But Long Island Cares is doing its part to help families in need. They will deliver 1.5 tons of non-perishable Thanksgiving dinners to Bethany Food Drive in Westbury.

Rallye Motor Company donated $6,600 to Long Island Cares, which purchased the food items for the holiday meals. The amount donated symbolizes Rallye's 66 years in business.

Monday's Thanksgiving meal sendoff at Rallye BMW in Westbury is expected to include Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman and Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor Joseph Saladino.
