Long Island Woman Wins $2 Million Jackpot at Mohegan Sun

A Long Island woman hit it big on a slot machine at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut last week.

Cindy Montalbano, of Franklin Square, won a $1,984,388.38 jackpot while playing the Wizard of Oz penny slot machine at the venue's Casino of the Sky.

The sum is one of the largest amounts won on a progressive jackpot at Mohegan Sun, but it's not the casino's only recent big winner.

Less than a month earlier, on Sept. 12, Kenneth Frey, of Bethel, Conn., nearly hit the million mark himself, taking home $875,898.88 on a Super 4 Blackjack Progressive table game in Casino of the Earth.
