GARDEN CITY, NY — Nassau BOCES District Superintendent Robert Dillon has died due to complications from spinal surgery in April, Newsday reported.

Dillon was 72.

He was BOCES superintendent since 2015, before that Dillon led four school districts across the region, including East Meadow and Eastport on Long Island.

He split time between homes in Plainview and Orange County, NY.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Fairchild Sons Funeral Home in Garden City. A funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. at St. Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Centre.
