Nassau Man Injured In Home Invasion: Police

Police say four men forced their way into his home, hit him, tied him up and left him in the bath tub while they robbed the house.

GARDEN CITY PARK, NY — A Nassau County man was tied up and thrown in a bath tub during a home invasion in Garden City Park early Saturday morning.

According to police, a 37-year-old man heard loud banging on the door of his home on Churchill Drive at 5 a.m. on July 31. He left his bedroom to investigate and saw four men, all armed with handguns, force their way into his home and run up the stairs toward him.

The men threatened the victim, and tied him up and demanded cash. The victim was taken to the bathroom, hit in the head with a pistol and put in the bath tub. Police say the men stole cash and other items from the home before fleeing.

The victim was eventually able to free himself and call police. He suffered a head wound and bruises to his wrists from the restraints.

Police say the robbers were wearing all black with black ski masks on their faces. The investigation is ongoing.
