A Mineola woman who had been reported missing on June 6 has apparently been spotted on closed circuit surveillance footage at the Mineola Library.
Debra Guiliano, 53, was reportedly seen on the camera footage in Memorial Park this past Thursday by library director Charles Sleefe. Initially Sleefe believed that the woman might be homeless after she had asked to come in and use the restroom facilities at the library.

“She was sleeping on a tree in the park then came in to use the restroom,” Sleefe said.
Initially Sleefe said that he did not make the connection, but after seeing a follow-up report on Mineola Patch on Guliano’s disappearance, he contacted police, who reported the update to the missing persons unit.

The library director turned the surveillance footage of Guiliano coming out of the restroom over to police, but the Village of Mineola did not allow the footage or screen captures to be released to media.
When reached again on Monday afternoon, Sleefe stated that Guiliano’s mother Dorothy had come down to the library to inspect the footage and had immediately identified her daughter on the surveillance footage.
Residents are advised that if they have information as to the whereabouts of Guiliano’s location to contact police.
