Nearby: Police ID Body Found in Herricks

A man has been identified after his body was found in the woods Monday afternoon in Herricks, authorities said.

Nassau Police identified the deceased as Kenneth Crane, 60. Police say he has no known address.

Detectives say they found Crane at 1:40 p.m. in the woods near Old Searingtown Road and Searingtown Road. He was wearing black pants, a tan olive jacket, blue hooded sweatshirt and blue sneakers.

Police have not yet revealed a cause of death.
