NASSAU COUNTY, NY — In the race for the 18th Assembly District, incumbent Democrat Taylor Darling has defeated Republican challenger LaMont Johnson.
Newsday called the race for Darling, who had 20,167 votes to Johnson's 3,574 in unofficial results.
The 18th Assembly District includes Lakeview, Hempstead, West Hempstead, Uniondale, Roosevelt, Freeport and Merrick.
