NY 18th Assembly District: Taylor Darling Challenged By LaMont Johnson
The incumbent assemblywoman is facing a challenge from a local school board trustee to represent the district.

NASSAU COUNTY, NY — Incumbent Democrat Taylor Darling is facing Republican LaMont Johnson to represent the 18th Assembly District.
Darling was first elected to the Assembly in 2018, and is running for her third term. Her childhood was split between England, Brooklyn and Nassau County. She graduated from Uniondale High School at 16, and went on to earn a masters in psychology, and started working as a business consultant.
Johnson is currently the vice president of the Hempstead School District Board of Education.

The 18th Assembly District includes Lakeview, Hempstead, West Hempstead, Uniondale, Roosevelt, Freeport and Merrick.
