Oktoberfest, Health Expo This Week

What's happening this week in Garden City.

October is License Your Dog in Garden City Month: October is "License Your Dog in Garden City" Month. Come in to Garden City Village Hall during the month of October and your dog will receive a free bone with each new registration.

“EASEL” Artists Exhibit: A group exhibition of paintings by “EASEL” Artists will be on view in the Garden City Public Library’s gallery & showcases from Oct. 2–29.

Senator Hannon's 12th Annual Senior Health Expo: Sen. Kemp Hannon is hosting his twelfth annual Senior Health Expo at the St. Paul's Field House Oct. 3.

Fashion Meets Art at Lord & Taylor Garden City: Dana Amoroso, personal fashion advisor, hosts the opening reception for NYC/Remsenburg artist Ine Wijtvliet
and her provocative introspective show of vibrant color and texture. An opening reception will be held Thursday, Oct. 3, 6-8 p.m. at Sarabeth's Cafe, Lord & Taylor in Garden City.

St.Joseph School Fall Festival: Games, jump houses, shopping, food, a plant sale, face painting and more await you at the St. Joseph School fall festival Saturday.

Pumpkin Patch at UUCCN: Pumpkins return to the grounds of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Central Nassau (UUCCN) located at the corner of Nassau Boulevard and Stewart Avenue beginning Saturday, Oct. 5. The sale is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily through Halloween, Oct. 31.

Oktoberfest 2013: The second annual Oktoberfest will be held at Resurrection Lutheran Church Saturday, Oct. 5, 4 to 10:30 p.m. 

Home, Harvest and Holiday Yard Sale: The Andy Foundation will host a Home, Harvest & Holiday Yard Sale on Sunday October 6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Paul's Field House, 295 Stewart Avenue (corner of Stewart and Rockaway) in Garden City.
