HEMPSTEAD, NY — A person was arrested earlier this month for vandalizing a Planned Parenthood clinic in Hempstead, officials said.

On July 7, Planned Parenthood said that someone put multiple chains and padlocks on the gate to the parking lot at the clinic in Hempstead, located at 540 Fulton Ave. The person also put super glue into the locks to stop them from being opened.

Officials said that the Hempstead Fire Department and staff at the clinic, with help from neighbors, were able to get the locks off, and the function of the clinic was not disrupted for too long.
