Police Searching For Missing Hempstead Teen
Police say the teen was last seen leaving his house.
HEMPSTEAD, NY. — Nassau County police are searching for a missing teen in Hempstead after he was last seen leaving his home on Terrace Avenue Saturday night.
14-year-old Tyris Garcia Velasquez was reported missing at 9:05 p.m.; department officials say he has been missing since 8:30 a.m. that morning.
He is described as Hispanic, standing 5’8” and weighing 105 pounds, wearing a navy blue jacket, black pants and green and black sneakers. Department officials say it’s unknown where he was going when he left the house. As of Monday morning, the department confirmed that he remains missing.
