Rec Commission Meeting, Artists' Exhibit Wednesday

What's happening today in Garden City.

Breast Cancer Awareness: On Wednesday, Adelphi University will hold a Fun Run/Walk on the indoor track in the Center for Recreation and Sports beginning at 11 a.m. as part of its month-long, campus-wide breast cancer awareness campaign. Between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., campus walkways will be chalked pink as part of the Ephemeral Chalk Up project.

Recreation Commission Meeting: The Recreation Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the senior center at St. Paul's.

EASEL Exhibit
: A group exhibition of paintings by “EASEL” artists will be on view in the Garden City Public Library’s gallery and showcases Oct. 2–29. Click here for more info.

College Admissions Workshop: "Gaining Admission into the Right Colleges for You" will be offered at the Garden City Public Library Wednesday at 7 p.m. Michael Binder will guide students and their parents through the steps of finding the right college and strategies for entrance. Click here for more info.
