Nighttime Lane Closures on Old Country Road: Preventive maintenance repairs of the Old Country Road bridge continue Wednesday. Travel lanes will be closed and/or shifted between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Monday through Friday nights for approximately six weeks, weather permitting. Read more here.
Talent Show: The children's room at the Garden City Public Library is hosting a talent show (Part II) Wednesday at 7 p.m. The show enables young Garden City residents in grades K-5 to show off their talents. Performances are limited to 5 minutes each. No registration is required to attend the show and all ages are welcome in the audience.
Dig Into DNA: On Wednesday at 7 p.m. science teacher Chris Buchman will set up a DNA lab at the Garden City Library to help Young Adults conduct DNA experiments on strawberries. Test results will be related to forensics and the way CSI works. This program is limited to 25 Young Adults. Registration began July 10.
