Week Ahead: Talent Show, Blood Drive and a 'Fun-Raiser'
A talent show, outdoor concert, blood drive and more are all on tap this week in Garden City.

Here's a look ahead at what's happening in Garden City this week:
Talent Show: The children's room at the Garden City Public Library is hosting a talent show (Part II) Wednesday at 7 p.m. The show enables young Garden City residents in grades K-5 to show off their talents. Performances are limited to 5 minutes each. No registration is required to attend the show and all ages are welcome in the audience.
Blood Drive: Garden City brothers Bobby and Jake Menges are hosting a blood drive Thursday in loving memory of Garden City resident Stacey Leondis, who lost her life to osteocarcoma five years ago at the age of 23. The bloodmobile will be parked on the corner of Cedar Place and Hilton Ave. between 2 and 8 p.m. Email emenges430@verizon.netto reserve a spot. Read more later today on Patch.
Concert on the Village Green: Stan Zizka and the Original Del Satins will entertain on the Village Green Thursday as the Department of Recreation and Parks' 2013 summer concert series continues. For the full lineup of remaining musicians, click here.
