Bully Shield Seminar, Halloween Fest This Week

What's on tap this week in Garden City.

Library Board Meeting: The Garden City Library Board of Trustees meets at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, oct. 16, in Meeting Room A at the Garden City Public Library. The meeting is open to the public. Click here for the full meeting agenda.

Board of Ed Meeting: A regular meeting of the Board of Education will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 8:15 p.m. at Stewart School, 501 Stewart Avenue. Board members will be recognized for their service to the school district and the annual audit report will be presented.

Bully Shield Seminar: On Thursday, Oct. 17, from 5-7:30 p.m. Tiger Schulmanns Garden City will be hosting a "Bully Shield Seminar." Concert: Friends of the Garden City Public Library will sponsor a free musical concert: “I Do! I Do!” with Plaza Theatrical Productions’ cast on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m. at the Garden City Public Library. The concert will be approximately 90 minutes with an intermission. Seating and parking is limited and on a first-come basis. No tickets are required. Village Board Meeting: The Garden City Board of Trustees meets at 8 p.m. in the village hall boardroom to discuss a full agenda (which has not yet been posted to the village's website).

Fall Fair/Alumni Day at WaldorfThe Waldorf School of Garden City will host its annual Fall Fair and Alumni Day on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Click here for more info.

Halloween Fest: The Garden City Bird Sanctuary's annual Halloween Fest is scheduled for Saturday, Oct 19, from 3-5:30 p.m. with the Halloween costume parade starting at 5 p.m. Click here for more info.
