Village Board Agenda: Oct. 17

See what the village's Board of Trustees will be discussing at Thursday's meeting.

The engagement of Morwood Oaks Management Associates, LLC to conduct an audit of cable video companies franchise fee calculations as well as utility and telecommunication companies gross receipts tax calculations, a Justice Court Internet payment portal and bid awards for fall tree and shrub plantings are among the many topics included on tonight's Garden City village board agenda.

Trustees are also being asked to consider several requests:

  • The Garden City Fire Department is asking permission to solicit throughout the village for the department's annual house-to-house fund drive Nov. 1-30
  • A Chestnut Street resident is requesting to conduct a door-to-door fundraising campaign Oct. 19 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. with fellow students from Penn State University that will benefit Penn State Children's Hospital for pediatric cancer
  • Robert Alvey, founder of the Garden City Bird Sanctuary, requesting to hold Earth Run III April 6 through parts of the village.

The meeting begins at 8 p.m. in the village hall boardroom. All residents are encouraged to attend.
