Breast Cancer Screenings Planned For Port Washington, Glen Cove
There will be mammograms, an physical exam, and instructions on self-exams.
GLEN COVE, NY — A breast cancer screening van from Nuhealth will be making a stops in Port Washington and Glen Cove next month, according to a news release.
It will stop off at the Littig House Community Center in Port Washington on Sept. 20 and the Glen Cove Boys and Girls Club on Sept. 28.
Hours of operation will run from 8 to 11 a.m.

Free mammograms will be made available to women over the age of 40, and appointments will include a breast exam from a nurse, a mammography, and self-examination instructions.
Appointments for the exam are required.

The mammograms are free for uninsured women based on eligibility guidelines, and women with health insurance may be required to make a copayment.
Women who have gone more than a year since their last mammogram will be required to get a prescription from their doctor if they have insurance) and provide any past films (if available).
The Littig House Community Center is located at 72 Harbor Homes Port Washington. The Glen Cove Boys and Girls Club is located at 113 Glen Cove Ave., Glen Cove.
