City Expected to Vote on Verizon FiOS Franchise

TV service provider franchise proposal among items on Tuesday City Council meeting agenda.

The City is expected to vote on a resolution to enter into an initial franchise agreement with Verizon at Tuesday's Glen Cove City Council meeting to provide FiOS cable TV service.

If approved by both City Council and the State Public Service Commission, FiOS service could be provided as soon as January to the 85 percent of the city already wired.

The following items are also on Tuesday's City Council meeting agenda. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall.
