City Of Glen Cove Mayor Panzenbeck Officially Sworn In For Third Term

GLEN COVE, NY — The City of Glen Cove Mayor Pamela D. Panzenbeck was officially sworn in to begin her third term as mayor on Jan. 1. The Inauguration Ceremony was held in Glen Cove City Hall, and the newly seated Glen Cove City Council was also sworn in.

"It is with great honor and humility that I stand before you as I begin my third term as your mayor," Panzenbeck said during her Inaugural Address.

She reflected on the responsibility of continuing to serve her Glen Cove community, one in which she has lived her whole life. Panzenbeck told Patch that Glen Cove has always been her home, and she raised her children there.

In the Address, she spoke about the strength of her community.

"We are a tightly knit community bound by a love of our city," she said. "I cannot think of any better community to raise a family."

Panzenbeck thanked Deputy Mayor Donna McNaughton and the employees and volunteers of their community.

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman administered the oath of office to Mayor Panzenbeck. Glen Cove City Judge, Honorable Joseph Capobianco, swore in City Council Members Grady Farnan, Michael Ktistakis, Kevin Maccarone, John Perrone, Danielle Fugazy Scagliola, and John Zozzaro.

After the ceremony, a Special City Council Meeting was held in which City Court Judge Ellen Savino was sworn in.
