Crime Report: Teen Found With Sawed-Off Shotgun

The following information was supplied by the City of Glen Cove Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate a conviction.

The Glen Cove Police Department has declined to provide the names of the arrested.

The Glen Cove Police Department reported the following arrests from March 17 - March 23, 2013.

  • A 30-year-old male was arrested for third-degree grand larceny on 1st Street on March 18. The suspect was arrested by Det. Brian Glennon after an investigation led police to believe he allegedly stole a 14-karat gold ring from a residence he was working at as a DIRECTV repairman.
  • A 23-year-old male was arrested for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and other traffic violations on Chestnut Street on March 18.
  • A 16-year-old male was arrested for two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property on McGrady Street on March 19.
  • A 50-year-old female was arrested for second-degre harassment on Carpenter Street on March 20.
  • A 17-year-old male was arrested for two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Pulaski Street on March 22. Officer Eddy Linares was called to the scene of a dispute between a cab driver and customer and found the teen to have unspecified drugs and a sawed-off shotgun hidden in his waistband.
  • A 24-year-old male was arrested for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on 3rd Street on March 22.
