Glen Cove Company Closing Production Plant, Layoffs Looming
The heating equipment supplier in Glen Cove will be closing its plant on June 10, according to a WARN filing.
GLEN COVE, NY — Slantco Manufacturing Co. in Glen Cove is laying off more than a dozen employees, and its last day will be June 10, according to a Work Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) filing.
The heating equipment supplier will be closing its plant due to the "ceasing of the company's production and other aspects of its baseboard lines operations," the filing stated.
Sixteen of the 17 employees will be laid off on either May 15 or June 10. The remaining employee will be laid off on June 15.
