Glen Cove Computer Lab Gets A Makeover
The new look is thanks to student Jennifer Canales and former student Elizabeth Alvarado.

A computer lab at Glen Cove High School received a new look thanks to the creativity and volunteerism of student Jennifer Canales and former student Elizabeth Alvarado.
The girls created and painted a mural for the lab on their own time after school. According to art and photography teacher Melissa Johnides, the pair went above expectations with the project. Canales created the design for the mural and said it “represents the variety of nationalities and cultures in Glen Cove.”
Alvarado has moved out of the Glen Cove area and was not present for its completion.
