Glen Cove Cracks Top 50 'Money' Magazine Best Places To Live 2022 List

GLEN COVE, NY—Money magazine has just learned something many Glen Cove residents already knew: The publication ranked the Long Island city as the 37th "Best Place to Live 2022" in the United States. The publication's annual list has named the 50 "best places" for the last 35 years, based off a range of metrics for mid-sized cities including cost of living, amenities, quality of life barometers and income earning potential.

"Glen Cove has just about everything you’d want in a home base: beaches, parks and a walkable downtown with tons of restaurants and shopping. There’s also easy access to the best of Long Island’s North Shore, as well as the heart of New York City," Money wrote about Glen Cove, population 27,660.

The magazine also pointed to water activities along the Long Island Sound, the Garvies Point Preserve, and new apartment options along the waterfront.

Atlanta, GA took Money's top spot. Several New Jersey locations earned honors too, but Glen Cove came in as only hometown in New York State to make the list.
