Glen Cove Election 2021: GOP Seems Poised To Sweep All But 1 Seat

Here's how the mayoral and city council races are shaping up for Glen Cove. Plus, the unofficial vote tallies for other Nassau County races.

GLEN COVE, NY — Nassau County residents hit the polls Tuesday to cast ballots in their local elections.

The polls closed at 9 p.m. on Long Island. And the unofficial vote tallies have rolled in to determine numerous key races — including the office of the county executive, Nassau district attorney, and the mayor and council members on the Glen Cove City Council.

All 19 county legislative seats are also up for grabs this election cycle, including District 11.

It was a great night for Republicans in Glen Cove. According to unofficial vote tallies from Nassau County's election board, Republican Pamela Panzenbeck appears poised to win Glen Cove's mayoral race against Democrat and incumbent Tim Tenke. On the city council, only one incumbent Marsha Silverman (D), has seemingly managed to squeak out a win.

Below are the unofficial results for both the City of Glen Cove and Nassau County races. Those seemingly in the lead have an asterisk next to their name.

County Executive

Laura Curran (Democrat) — Incumbent: 124,008 votes; 47.70%

* Bruce Blakeman (Republican): 135,842 votes; 52.25%

District Attorney

* Anne Donnelly (Republican): 155,554 votes; 60.22%

Todd Kaminsky (Democrat): 102,666 votes; 39.74%

Comptroller

Ryan Cronin (Democrat): 99,811 votes; 39.20%

* Elaine Phillips (Republican): 154,787 votes; 60.79%

Clerk

* Maureen C. O'Connell (Republican): 161,648 votes; 63.34%

Justin R. Brown (Democrat): 93,509 votes; 36.64%

Legislative District 11

Meagan McCarty (Republican): 5,175 votes; 37.70%

* Delia M. DeRiggi Whitton (Democrat) — Incumbent: 8,546 votes; 62.25%

City of Glen Cove

Mayor

Tim Tenke (Democrat) — Incumbent: 2,347 votes; 42.87%

* Pamela Panzenbeck (Republican): 3,112 votes; 56.84%

Council

* Kevin Maccarone (Republican): 2,907 votes; 9.54%

* Joseph Capobianco (Republican): 2,809 votes; 9.22%

* John Mancusi (Republican): 2,795 votes; 9.17%

* Marsha Silverman (Democrat) — Incumbent: 2,636 votes; 8.65%

* Roni Jenkins (Republican): 2,598 votes; 8.53%

* Barbara Peebles (Republican): 2,597 votes; 8.52%

Daniella Fugazy Scagliola (Democrat) — Incumbent: 2,527 votes; 8.29%

Gaitley Stevenson-Mathews (Democrat) — Incumbent: 2,439 votes; 8.00%

James Greenberg (Republican): 2,432 votes; 7.98%

Eve Lupenko Ferrante (Democrat) — Incumbent: 2,241 votes; 7.35%
