GLEN COVE, NY — Without community leaders, Glen Cove wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate their contributions. This submission comes from Mary Grace (Gracie) Donaldson Cipriano, who nominated Jeanine DiMenna.

What does the community leader do? Jeanine has served the community of Glen Cove for over 20 years at her restaurants, Page One and The View Grill. She contributes to every cause she is asked to, and kept her restaurant open during the pandemic while keeping as many staff members on the payroll as possible. She donated trays of food to frontline workers and made takeout affordable for families.

Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored? Jeanine has touched my own life in immeasurable ways, but she has touched the lives of so many in our community. Every event that she is asked to host or sponsor, she does. She is a lifetime Glen Cove resident and looks to give back to the community.
