Nassau Politicians React To Iran's Retaliatory Strikes On Israel
Israel attacked Iran's nuclear sites and senior military personnel earlier this week, while Iran retaliated on Friday.

NASSAU COUNTY, NY — As Israel faced retaliatory strikes by Iran, several Long Island politicians are showing their support for Israel.
Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-NY 03) said the U.S. stands with Israel in their self-defense.
"Iran is a terrorist nation. They spend millions funding terrorist proxies across the Middle East like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis who have attacked Israel relentlessly since the October 7 terrorist attacks," Suozzi wrote on X. "Allowing such a terrorist nation to possess a nuclear weapon is an existential threat to Israel and something the United States stands firmly against."

Congresswoman Laura Gillen said she is closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East.
"Iran is the leading state sponsor of terrorism, repeatedly threatens harm to Israel and the US, and is on the verge of obtaining a nuclear weapon in defiance of its nonproliferation obligations," Gillen posted to X on Friday. "This presents an existential threat to our ally Israel and Israel must be able to defend herself. I pray for the wellbeing of our ally Israel, swift resolution of this conflict and for the liberation of the Iranian people from a tyrannical regime."
