New Glen Cove Police Officer Sworn-In

The Glen Cove native is a veteran of the New York City Police Department and New York City Department of Corrections​.

Glen Cove Mayor Tim Tenke recently welcomed a new police officer to the Glen Cove Police Department.

Glen Cove native Joseph M. Heffernan was sworn-in on Tuesday's Glen Cove City Council Meeting.

Heffernan is veteran of the New York City Police Department and New York City Department of Corrections. He graduated from Glen Cove High School in 2006 and received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from CW Post College.

“I have known Joseph and his family for many years and it is a privilege to swear in this talented police officer who will be a valued member of the Glen Cove Police Department,” Tenke said in a press release.
