St. Francis, Glen Cove Hospitals 2 Of 58 US 'Top Teaching Hospitals'

ROSLYN, NY — Roslyn's St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center and Northwell Health's Glen Cove Hospital were named as a 2022 Top Teaching Hospital by The Leapfrog Group. The Nassau County hospitals were two out of 58 hospitals in the U.S. to get the designation.

Catholic Health, which runs St. Francis, said the award is due in part to the hospital's cardiovascular conferences and education having "a global reputation."

The Leapfrog Group calls itself "a nonprofit watchdog organization that serves as a voice for health care consumers and purchasers."

The group gave both St. Francis and Glen Cove a A hospital safety grade ratings in 2022.

Over 2,200 hospitals nation-wide were considered for the distinction, according to Catholic Health.
