Yesterday, regional utility Central Hudson Gas & Electric issued another press release with regard to energy supply pricing.

https://www.cenhud.com/en/news/2022/energy-costs-remain-elevated/

CHGE reports that their March, 2022 gas supply rate is increasing another 24%; with electric supply at nearly double the rate of the Town’s Community Choice Aggregation program (.06565 kw).  Residents who did not elect to remain in the CCA, and who did not subscribe to the Community Solar project, will see significant increases in their utility bills.

When the Town Board back in 2019 contemplated joining the Hudson Valley Community Power CCA -     (a program where municipalities join together to make bulk purchases for clean energy supply), we focused on 2 potential benefits - 100% clean energy sources and fixed rate pricing.  If you elected to remain in the program, your energy supply rate will continue to be .06565 through June, 2024.

The utility rate has been higher for each of the 9 months since we renewed our 3 year contract with Columbia Utilities.

To join or find out if CCA is right for you.  Call the hotline at 845-859-9099 or log onto www.hudsonvalleycommunitypower.com.
