6-Year-Old Boy Groped Inside Union Square Barnes And Noble: NYPD

The brazen pervert grabbed the boy mere feet from his mother at the 17th Street bookstore Wednesday, police said.

GRAMERCY, NY — Police are on the hunt for a man who groped a six-year-old boy at Barnes and Noble in Union Square as he stood feet from his mother, authorities said Friday.

The man approached the boy inside the 17th Street bookstore at 4 p.m. and grabbed the child's buttocks and groin, officials said. The suspect fled from the store, heading west on 17 Street.

A police spokesman said the young boy's mother was just a few feet away from her son when the brazen pervert groped him. The boy was not injured, police said.

Authorities describe the suspect as 18-20-years-old, approximately 5-foot-eight and weighing 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Security camera footage shows the man wearing a black, grey and red stripped shirt, dark jeans and white sneakers.
