Anto Korean Steakhouse Debuts "Gori"
Exclusive Chef's Counter led by Michelin-Star Chef Kim Jeong-Muk

Anto Korean Steakhouse is proud to introduce Gori, an exclusive chef’s counter experience located on the second floor of their location at 243 E. 58th Street, and is helmed by Michelin- Star Executive Chef Jeong Muk Kim. Chef Jeong-Muk, formerly of Myomi in Seoul, is the youngest Korean chef to ever earn a star from the prestigious Michelin Guide in Korea. Chef Jeong-Muk brings his contemporary vision of Korean Cuisine to Gori, the Korean word for “connection.”
Gori comfortably seats as many as 10 guests who are invited to engage in the culinary process, observe how dishes are made, and interact with the chefs in action. The counter tasting menu serves 10 courses at $165 per person, and includes the chef’s specialty dishes such as Dungeness Crab, Hamachi Mulhwe, Freshwater Eel, Hudson Valley Aged Duck, and Korean Beef Wagyu. There are also two wine pairing menu options at a standard and premium level from the restaurant's Wine Spectator award-winning program that guests can choose from to complement the food.
Corporate Wine Director, Joo Lee, formerly of Eleven Madison Park in NYC and Saison
in San Francisco, curated two wine lists at different price points specially designed to
match the 10-course tasting menu. Anto’s wine strengths include Burgundy, Piedmont,
Tuscany, France, and California. With an inventory of 4,900 bottles and 740 selections,
Anto’s wine program recently won the Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence
2023.

The design of the space presents an intricate fusion of both tradition and modernity,
captivating its guests from the moment they arrive. Design elements include a model of
a geobukseon, or turtle ship, which played a pivotal role in the Joseon Dynasty’s military
advancements, as well as a grand infinity image of Korea’s national flower, the fuchsia-
hued Mugunghwa. Anto’s second floor Chef Counter is the ideal space to showcase
Chef Jeong-Muk’s 21st century Korean fine dining.
