Body Found In Trash Compactor In Irving Place Building: NYPD

GRAMERCY, NY – The body of a woman was found inside a trash compactor at an apartment building at 1 Irving Place Tuesday, police said.

The woman was 48 years old but had not been named by police as of Tuesday evening. The body was found at 4.55 p.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

1 Irving Place is the address of Zeckendorf Towers, an apartment building next to Union Square.
