Chess Player Stabbed In Union Square, Police Say
A 39-year-old man was stabbed early Monday in the middle of a game of chess, according to police.

UNION SQUARE, NY — A man playing an early-morning game of chess was stabbed in the torso after getting into an argument with three other men near Union Square on Monday, police said.
The man, 39, was playing the game near East 14th Street about 2:30 a.m. when he was approached by the three men, an NYPD spokeswoman told Patch. The four got into an argument that ended with the 39-year-old being stabbed, according to police.

Police are looking for the three men, but said it's unclear if all three were involved in the stabbing.
