Couple Jump To Deaths From Manhattan High-Rise
A husband and wife were found dead on 33rd Street early Friday morning.

MANHATTAN, NY — A couple jumped to their deaths from a Manhattan high-rise early on Friday morning amid a personal "financial crisis," according to police.
A husband and wife were found dead on Friday in front 29 East 33rd St., an NYPD spokeswoman told Patch. The man, age 53, and woman, age 50, were both pronounced dead at the scene after police responded at about 5:40 a.m. The building, 29 East 33rd St., housed the husband's office, according to authorities.
Police currently believe that the couple killed themselves by jumping from the office building to the street below.

NYPD's chief of detectives Robert Boyce said the couple was believed to have financial difficulties. Both were found with notes that cited financial difficulties, he said.
"It appears to be financial difficulties clearly stated within both notes," Boyce said. "We still have to go further. He stated a 'financial crisis' and that seems to be the issue for the suicide."
