Jessa Crispin To Speak At Strand Bookstore

Jessa Crispin will discuss her new book "Why I Am Not a Feminist" on Tuesday evening at the Strand bookstore.

UNION SQUARE, NY — Author Jessa Crispin, who recently published "Why I Am Not a Feminist," is speaking Tuesday evening at the Strand bookstore.

Crispin's latest book is a critique of the current feminist movement and is an effort to "challenge the polite, shallow form of the movement that has taken over," according to the event description. Crispin will be speaking about her manifesto with New York Times editor Rachel Dry on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Here's an excerpt of the book from New York Magazine.

You can attend the event by either purchasing a signed copy of Crispin's book or a Strand gift card, both for $15. The discussion will be hosted in the Strand's rare book room at 828 Broadway near 12th Street.
